The Bachelor Couples: Are They Still Together? And If Not, What Are They Up To?
For some, TV love was forever; but for the majority, it ended once the camera stopped rolling. After 23 seasons of The Bachelor, it is a little shocking to know that there are only a few couples still together. See and read about the fates of all the Bachelor couples and what your favorites are up to now.
1. Alex Michel and Amanda Marsh
The first season of The Bachelor, management consultant Alex chose Amanda at the end, but Alex didn't propose to Amanda and instead decided to date. The pair dated for nearly a year before Amanda Marsh broke up with Alex.
Now: Alex Michel
So where is Alex Michel now? Since not proposing and eventually breaking up with Amada, Michel has stayed out of the limelight. Last we heard, Alex is a spokesman for Match.com. He is in a serious relationship but not married.
Now: Amanda Marsh
Marsh married her childhood friend Jay Caldwell, and they have a daughter, Chloe.
2. Aaron Buerge and Helene Eksterowicz
Aaron Buerge, a banker and restaurant owner, proposed to Helene Eksterowicz, turning Helene into the first contestant ever to receive a marriage proposal. However, the pair didn't end well, breaking up only five weeks at the end of the season.
Now: Aaron Buerge
It took six years after his breaking up with Helene until Aaron found the one. He married a lady Angye McIntosh in his hometown in 2009 and they have a daughter, Aven. Aaron is the executive VP of a Bank in Missouri.
Now: Helene Eksterowicz
Helene also moved on with life. She got engaged to a tech consultant for IBM, Andrew Goodman, in 2013. After a year and a half of dating, they got married and Helene gave birth to her first child, Noah, in 2016.
3. Andrew Firestone and Jen Schefft
Season 3 is unique, and it featured rich San Francisco tire heir Andrew Firestone who chose and proposed to Jen Schefft at the end of the show. But the relationship didn't last. The couple parted their ways after a few months.
Now: Andrew Firestone
Andrew Firestone's life turned out pretty well. He married model Ivana Bozilovic in his family’s vineyard in 2008. The couple lives in San Francisco with their three children.

Jen Schefft became the third Bachelorette, but she rejected Jerry Ferris' proposal. She married businessman Joe Waterman in 2009, and now the stay-at-home mum has two girls.
4. Bob Guiney and Estella Gardinier
The 4th season ended with Bob Guiney choosing Estella Gardinier, a beautiful fitness guru. But they separated not long after the show aired.
Now: Bob Guiney
Bob Guiney married All My Children actress Rebecca Budig in 2004 but divorced six years later. But hope isn't lost. Guiney got married again in 2016 to Jessica Canyon. The couple had their first child in 2018.
Now: Estella Gardinier
Gardinier teaches fitness classes and founded a suicide prevention organization of the called "Project Love You." She is single but seeing someone. She and Bob are still good friends, occasionally texting each other.
5. Jesse Palmer and Jessica Bowlin
Hunk Jesse Palmer is a sports commentator and former NFL quarterback. He picked Jessica Bowlin but didn’t propose. The couple didn't date for long, breaking up after only a few months.
Now: Jesse Palmer
Maybe Things did not work out in his love life, but his professional life was something different. Palmer retired as a quarterback in 2007, and became a prominent figure in the world of sports broadcasting.

Jessica chose a more quiet life after breaking up with Palmer. She moved on to have a happy family. She also passed the California State Bar exam in 2007, and now is a lawyer based in LA.
6. Charlie O’Connell and Sarah Brice
Charlie O'Connell chose Sarah Brice in the finale but didn't propose to her. The couple went on to be engaged for two years, then broke up, got back together for two years, and then call it quit for good in 2010. It is said the couple broke up over Charlie's heavy drinking problem.

It didn't take long for Charlie to get back into the spotlight. Now Charlie is dating stunning Playboy Playmate Anna Sophia Berglund. They got engaged recently.

Sarah Brice becomes a nurse and is working for a prestigious cosmetic procedures company. She got married and has three boys with his husband.
7. Matt Grant and Shayne Lamas
Matt Grant is a British businessman and the first bachelor from outside North America. He chose Shayne Lamas and proposed to her at the end of season 12. But the two never married. They broke up several months after the show ended.
Now: Matt Grant
Matt Grant went well himself after the show ended. He started dating Natalie Getz, a winner of the popular TV show. However, the relationship didn't last long before they parted their ways. After spending some time in LA, Matt went back to London and met his lifetime partner Rebecca Moring. The two married in 2017.
Now: Shayne Lamas
Shayne was arrested in 2009 for a DUI and later had some movie roles. She married Nik Richie, who runs a gossip website in 2010 within a few hours' meeting. They have a daughter Press and son Lyon via surrogate after a miscarriage nearly killed her. They also starred on VH1's Couples Therapy.
8. Jason Mesnick and Melissa Rycroft
Melissa Rycroft knows how to turn lemons into lemonade. She suffered a humiliating fate on the Bachelor by being dumped by Jason Mesnick who chose her over runner-up Molly Malaney. Jason Mesnick explained that he had had a change of mind, and he was really in love with Molly.

Jason Mesnick happily married Molly in 2010, and they are living in Seattle where Jason works as a real estate agent. The couple had their first daughter. Jason had a son from a previous marriage.
Now: Melissa Rycroft
Melissa Rycroft took her loss on the Bachelor but still appeared in public. She went on to appear in the Dancing With the Stars. She also co-hosted the first season of the Bachelor Pad. Melissa got engaged in 2009 with her best friend Tye Strickland. The couple now have three children. Rycroft also starred in a reality show with her husband.;
9. Brad Womack and Emily Maynard
Even the second time didn't prove to be a charm for Brad Womack. In the season 15, he chose single mom Emily Maynard, whose stint on the show really seemed more of a ploy to become the next Bachelorette. They were on and off for a while, and finally parted their ways for good in 2011.
Now: Brad Womack
In 2013, Womack dated Ashlee Frazier, a reject from Sean Lowe's season, but the relationship didn't last long.
Now: Emily Maynard
Maynard played her cards well and found love on The Bachelorette. She was engaged to Jef Holm, even though the relationship didn't last longer than a few months after the show finale. Emily married Tyler in 2014, and the couple now have four children. She is trying to open a children's store.
10. Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici
We are happy to announce that these two become the first couple on the Bachelor to make it. Sean Lowe proposed Catherine Giudici, a graphic designer, in Thailand. The couple had a fancy televised wedding on TV in January 2014. How sweet!

The couple went on to appear on reality TV shows after their wedding. They welcomed their first baby in 2016 and now they are expecting baby no. 3. We guess fairy tales do come true!
